Signed by Cecil Clarabut to the limitation page, with an additional inscription to the author's wife of "To patient spouse, with love, Cecil". Number two of one-hundred privately printed, signed copies. With two handwritten letters and a page of notes from Benson, written to her close friend and confidante, Lady Eileen Orde. With four handwritten envelopes, one of which was sent to London, via Siberia. Neither of these handwritten letters appear in the published collection. A collection of letters written by English novelist, poet and travel writer Stella Benson, known for her feminist works and writings surrounding important societal issues. Written to Eileen Orde, these letters cover the period when Stella was producing her best-known work, written just before her death at Hongay, in the Vietnamese province of Tonkin in 1933.As with the handwritten letters, Eileen and Stella make plans to meet up for many a poker night, also often discussing Lady Eileen's husband, Cuthbert Orde, referred to as "Cuff'bert". Bound in the publisher's cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.
